About this project
Studio: Beenox
Role: UI Artist
Worked on this project:
from March 2020 to January 2021
Split my time on this project between the PC/ Team and the eSports Team. I mainly worked on the Settings menu and CoDCaster.
◆ This was my first project in UI. I proved to be a fast learner and was able to own a couple of small features and contribute significantly to the bugfix efforts.
◆ My role included high-fidelity mockups, in-engine asset and animation creation & bug fixing.
◆ CoDCaster is a HUD that was used specifically for the eSports broadcast (Call of Duty League). It had its own art direction, distinct from the main game’s. Throughout my time on the project, I had to learn and execute two distinct art directions.

The main feature the eSport team worked on was the CoDCaster. I was brought on to help the team ship the CoDCaster for the 2021 Call of Duty League (CDL) season.
I was responsible for designing widgets for the CoDCaster, building them in our UI Editor and coordinating with Scripters and Engineers for implementation. I was also responsible for adapting art assets used in the main game and restyling them for the CoDCaster (such as maps).

Logo Selection
I was tasked with designing the Team Settings menu for the CoDCaster. This was available to players hosting competitions or tournaments, allowing them to customize each Team’s appearance.
I designed the 3 sub-menus for this feature: Overview, Team Customization & Logo Selection. Since this feature was part of the Settings menu, I had to work closely with both the eSport Team and the Settings Menu team to ensure my designs met the needs of both teams.
